We have completed over 60 videos for a diversity of clients including federal, provincial and municipal governments, First Nations and Metis communities, non-profit organizations, private land developers, and academic institutions.

First Nations Education


We have been working with the First Nations Education Steering Committee to create a series of videos to communicate the important work that they are doing and uncover needs of First Nations Schools.

First Hunt

CLIENT: Tr’ondek Hwech’in Band

Ear to the Ground traveled to the Yukon and documented a ‘First Hunt’ for the Tr’ondek Hewch’in Band. First Hunt is an educational opportunity for elders to transfer traditional knowledge to the youth of the Dawson City community while hunting and camping in the Yukon tundra. The video is being used as an educational tool, and discussions are underway to have the video broadcast in the north.



Comox Valley Communication and Public Engagement Videos

CLIENT: Comox Valley Regional District

Ear to the Ground is collaborating with the Comox Valley Regional District to produce 5 Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) videos. The videos are intended to inform and inspire citizens to get involved with the RGS. .

Ear to the Ground is collaboratively producing 5 videos which will be screened at open houses, community meetings, and be available online. “Get Involved” is a short, 2-minute communications video that inspires residents to get involved in the consultation process. “Rediscovering the Comox Valley” explores the history, consultation process, and potential of the Comox Valley. “Exploring the Growth Strategy” focuses on the engagement process and it’s outcomes, communicating the main concepts behind the Growth Strategy.


AZA Comprehensive Community Plan

CLIENT: Animbiigoo Zaagi\'igan Anishinaabek

We are working with EcoPlan to prepare a comprehensive community plan, and land use plan for the Animbiigoo Zaagi\'igan Anishinaabek outside of Thunder Bay Ontario. The plan establishes a vision and a set of priorities for a new community on Partridge Lake.


Squamish Nation Communications

CLIENT: Squamish Nation

We worked closely with Squamish Nation staff and council to prepare various video products to communicate the Nation's community development plans to membership and neighbouring municipalities.


Supporting Local Agriculture

CLIENT: Regional District of Nanaimo

Created a three-part video series showcasing the progression of local food as it moves from seed-to-plate. The video highlights stories from local growers, distributors, and consumers who all share a passion for good quality local products. http://www.growingourfuture.ca/

Ear to the Ground produced a promotional video for the Canadian Institute of Planners to promote their 2013 anual conference.
